Simultaneously Enhancing Spectral Resolution and Sensitivity in Heteronuclear Correlation NMR Spectroscopy**
BIRD's eye view: Adding periodic BIRD J-refocusing (BIRD=bilinear rotation decoupling) to data acquisition in an HSQC experiment causes broadband homonuclear decoupling, giving a single signal for each proton chemical shift. This pure shift method improves both resolution and signal-to-noise ratio, without the need for special data processing.
متن کاملBroadband Homonuclear Decoupling in Heteronuclear Shift Correlation NMR Spectroscopy
Recently, Garbow, Weitekamp, and Pines introduced a new approach to homonuclear broadband decoupling (I). Independently, a closely related experiment has been proposed for semiselective heteronuclear J spectroscopy (2). The two types of experiments have the common feature that all protons which are not directly attached to a 13C nucleus experience an effect as if a nonselective 180” pulse were ...

A new two-dimensional NMR experiment is described which is suitable for obtaining magic angle spinning (MAS) scalar correlation spectra in solids. The new experiment has several advantages, including increased cross peak intensities, coupled with good suppression of the diagonal. Its utility is demonstrated via assignments of the carbon-13 MAS spectra of progesterone at natural abundance and of...
متن کاملHigh-resolution heteronuclear correlation NMR spectroscopy; applications to heterogeneous catalysis
We describe the catalytic applications of new solid-state NMR experiments, which provide high-resolution two-dimensional heteronuclear correlation (HETCOR) spectra using through-space and through-bond interactions between nuclear spins. These methods are applied to several microporous framework aluminophosphates and to a new type of ZSM-5-based petrochemical catalysts. Solid-state nuclear magne...
متن کامل2H-DNP-enhanced 2H-13C solid-state NMR correlation spectroscopy.
Perdeuteration of biological macromolecules for magic angle spinning solid-state NMR spectroscopy can yield high-resolution (2)H-(13)C correlation spectra and the method is therefore of great interest for the structural biology community. Here we demonstrate that the combination of sample deuteration and dynamic nuclear polarization yields resolved (2)H-(13)C correlation spectra with a signal e...
